This is a new painting of the headland to the west of the entrance to the Salcombe estuary as the sun set slowly behind the headland. I have painted seascapes of this part of the coast for many years but the recent sunsets have been magnificent with the sky full of vivid colours. The antique distressed timber moulding is finished in Anthracite grey over a black base.
